Project Overview
1. The Problem:
Small transport businesses struggle to manage employees, tasks, and expenses with no affordable system in place.
2. My role
from Research to interface.
3. Goal
Design a clean, simple app that helps owners track their team’s location, tasks, free time, and spending in real time.
Challenge
“I don’t know where my drivers are. I gave ₹5,000 — where’s the proof? The job’s delayed again.”
1. No team visibility
They rely on calls to check where employees are and if they’re working — often unanswered.
2. Confusing task flow
Work is shared on WhatsApp. No clear tracking. No accountability.
3. Cash, but no control
Employees get advance money. Receipts go missing. Owners lose track of spending.
4. Too many tools, none made for them
Existing apps are complex or expensive — not built for small businesses.
Process
🗺 1. Empathize with real users
Mapped real-life pain points of owners and drivers.
Studied how communication and money currently flow in small teams.
🧱 2. Define core workflows
Tracked three key daily flows:
→ Task Assignment
→ Location & Status Tracking
→ Expense Request & Approval
✏️ 3. Sketch user journeys
Made quick, low-fidelity flow sketches to visualize how each user completes their tasks.
🎨 4. Design with simplicity
Created a modular, mobile-first layout using design tokens and atomic components.
Focused on readable, bold cards, tap-friendly buttons, and contextual visuals.
🔄 5. Test, adjust, simplify
Continuously reviewed screens for friction points.
Removed any complexity that wasn’t absolutely necessary.

Conclusion
“Design isn’t just for polished tech users.
It’s for the people doing the hard work, running trucks, moving goods, and balancing books by hand.
I built Opos to be their system — simple, powerful, and human.”
